Ian Wright has spoken out on Harry Kane amid reports linking the Tottenham star with Manchester United – and the Arsenal icon has urged Liverpool to join the race for the England captain.
Kane endured a difficult start to the season after seeing a dream move to Manchester City collapse last summer, but the Tottenham talisman has been firing on all cylinders since Antonio Conte was appointed by the Londoners late last year.
But with Spurs looking likely to miss out on Champions League football again this season, speculation has already started to ramp up over Kane's future ahead of the summer transfer window. Mirror Football exclusively revealed earlier this month that Manchester United were mulling over a fresh approach for the 28-year-old at the end of the campaign.
After revealing he wanted to quit Spurs last summer, Kane expressed a desire to win trophies at the highest level. And Wright – who became one of the Premier League's most prolific goalscorers with Arsenal – has admitted that he wouldn't be surprised if a host of European heavyweights were weighing up a move for Kane if he is on the market.
Wright told The Kelly and Wrighty Show: "You can see why teams would want him [Harry Kane], any team in the world would want him. Just look at his finishing and his hunger and his consistency. When he does finally retire, you just hope he’s won something. I hope he can win something because he deserves it. He looks happier now but he has a big decision to make."

And after talking up Kane's credentials ahead of a potential big summer move, Wright urged United's rivals, Liverpool, to join the chase for the prolific star, who has plundered seven goals in his last seven games for Spurs.
Wright added: "Imagine Harry Kane at Liverpool… If I had the capability of getting Kane and putting him in Liverpool’s side with [Mohamed] Salah, or [Sadio] Mane or [Luis] Diaz and playing as the number nine, dropping deep and doing his stuff…
"It won’t be how Firmino does it, those lovely bit of skills and stuff, but Kane can drop in and help create because the two could run behind. If it was available to me, I would definitely look at it because it’s Harry Kane, and he will score.
"People talk about Firmino and the fact he doesn’t score enough goals, he misses too many chances. Harry Kane doesn’t miss those chances."
