Illegal tobacco and cannabis grower arrested in police raids

Officers in Rochdale seized illegal cigarettes in a raid yesterday before completing a drug bust.

Greater Manchester Police executed the warrant which resulted in one arrest. The individual was arrested for the cultivation of cannabis.

GMP Rochdale said in a social media post: “Overall a very successful day yesterday from our P1 officers.

“Throughout the morning, our A relief officers were involved in disruption visits with illegal tobacco and cigarettes seized and taken off the streets of Rochdale . But we weren't stopping there…

“Our D relief officers were involved in a drugs warrant in the afternoon. This resulted in one arrested for cultivation of cannabis and abstracting of electricity.

“We have said it before and will say it again #yousaidwedid.”
