Ilhan Gundogan, the uncle and agent of Manchester City club captain Ilkay Gundogan, has denied that his client has signed a new deal with the club.
The Germany international scored both goals in Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup final win over Manchester United, including the opener after just 12 seconds - the quickest-ever in the competition’s showpiece.
He now has six goals in his last six matches. His recent flourish of form has cast doubt over rumours that he is set for an Etihad exit with his contract expiring this month amid links with Barcelona.

However, Ilhan says that nothing has yet been agreed with either City or any other club ahead of this Saturday’s Champions League final against Inter Milan, where a win would confirm the treble.
Speaking to journalist Fabrizio Romano, he said: “Nothing has been agreed with City or any other club. The recent reports are not true. Ilkay is only focused on the final”.
Ilhan reiterated what Gundogan himself told reporters when asked about where his future lies next season. Speaking after full-time at Wembley, the 32-year-old said: "To be honest, I don't need these kinds of days to feel appreciated and to feel special in this club.
“I know that, that's why I'm here seven years, all the ups and downs that I've had so far. Nothing is decided yet, so we're going to see what is going to happen."
Manager Pep Guardiola is eager for Gundogan to stay at the club, calling him a good friend. "He knows what I think," he told the BBC post-match.
"(Football director) Txiki (Begiristain) is working on it. Hopefully he can be successful. We are neighbours. We live in the same floor for many years so he is a close friend of mine.
"He plays exceptionally well. I don't forget him scoring those goals against Aston Villa. Hopefully, we can finish in a good way."
