Eighty firefighters are battling a major fire at a gym and restaurant building in Ilford.
The blaze engulfed part of the first floor on Forest Road after breaking out at 1.54am.
Twelve fire engines rushed to the scene, with crews from Hainault, Romford, Dagenham, and Woodford tackling the flames.
Firefighters are using two massive turntable ladders - 64 and 32 metres tall - as water towers to douse the fire from above.
The London Fire Brigade's control room received six emergency calls about the incident. They have used GoodSam technology to livestream footage from callers' smartphones for real-time updates.
This system allows 999 operators to send a secure link to callers, giving them a direct video feed of the scene.
The cause of the fire remains unknown as crews continue to battle the blaze.
