Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff: French Open final live stream, TV channel, UK start time, h2h

A fascinating French Open final takes place later today as Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff compete for the women’s singles title.

The youngest Grand Slam finalist in 18 years, 18-year-old American starlet Gauff will face the 21-year-old Pole at Roland Garros after downing Martina Trevisan in Thursday’s semi-final.

Meanwhile, 2020 French Open champion Swiatek swatted aside Daria Kasatkina in equally convincing fashion to clock her 34th win in a row.

The youngsters are no strangers to one another having competed on the junior circuit before their inexorable rise as pros.

“I’m really happy to play her specifically because I always wanted to play her in a final,” said Gauff. “And I knew it was going to happen eventually, even in juniors, just from the way our games were both projecting. I just didn’t think it would happen so soon.”

Women’s tennis is becoming dominated by the likes of Swiatek and Gauff, young and hungry players who could represent a thrilling generation of talent to dominate for years to come.

“It would be nice to have a rivalry, one that would push me to excel, to be more intense and that will challenge me to play my best tennis. I could imagine that,” wrote Swiatek in her BBC column.

“I wouldn't want to have a record like Maria Sharapova did against Serena Williams, she won two of their 20 matches. Of course it sometimes happen and numbers aren't always the most important. The goal is to enjoy tennis matches but, of course, also to win.”

Here are all the details ahead of the match...
