If your Android phone is on this list you can try stunning new features before anyone else

Android 14 will be the next big release from Google with this software upgrade offering new ways to add style to the home screen along with making things safer, more battery efficient and much better at taking photos.

In fact, Google says its next version of Android adds support for 10-bit High Dynamic Range (HDR) images. This way of shooting retains more of the information from the sensor when snapping images which should mean photos look richer and more pixel-packed than ever.

There’s also the introduction of a new mid-display back arrow to help navigate things faster and an improved system share sheet.

The official version of this software won’t be released until much later this year but that doesn’t mean some can’t try it now.

Google has confirmed that, along with some of its own-brand Pixel devices, a number of other smartphones can now test the Android 14 beta.

For those not aware, beta releases are trial versions of operating systems that give users a chance to give new features a try. Betas are released to help iron out any bugs and check things are working correctly before the upgrade is released to millions of devices across the globe.

Of course, that does mean some things may not run smoothly and it can be buggy but switching to a beta does give you access to features other Android users can’t yet have.

So, if you fancy giving Android 14 a run for its money here are all the phones that are now compatible.
