If You Don't Have an AirTag Yet, Now's the Time. Amazon Dropped the Price to $25

We're not strangers to deals on all sorts of Apple devices here at TheStreet, and we've already tracked some great deals on AirTags--the technology giant's item tracker--in 2023. However, this one is different.

Rather than offering a more typical discount on a four-pack of AirTags, Amazon is bringing the heat with a deal on a single AirTag. Right now, you can get one for just $25, bringing it down to the year's lowest price yet.

We'd suggest you act fast, as AirTag deals have a history of causing a sell-out on Amazon. After all, you don't want to see a "temporarily unavailable" or "out of stock" message.

Apple AirTag ($25, originally $29 at Amazon)

Apple

Just like an Apple Watch or AirPods Pro, an AirTag is purpose-built to work seamlessly with an iPhone, and because of that, it's the best item tracker to use if you're in the ecosystem. The AirTag itself is a small circle made from plastic and stainless steel.

Once you unbox it, you'll pull the tag on the back, which drops the battery in place, and hold it near your iPhone. From there, a splash screen appears at the bottom; you confirm which iCloud account to pair it with, name the AirTag, and even pick a fun icon. After that, the AirTag lives in the FindMy app on Apple (AAPL) devices.

It's the same place you can locate all your Apple devices on a map, and any AirTags live under the "Items" tab. You can see a live location of the AirTag and even ping it. Built into the AirTag is a speaker that can get surprisingly loud. The tiny gadget also features Bluetooth, ultra-wide-band connectivity, and a range of sensors.

The location accuracy is incredibly high since the AirTag lives within the FindMy network that is powered by billions of Apple devices. Furthermore, if you ever misplace the thing your AirTag is attached to, maybe your keys, a wallet, or a bag, with a more modern iPhone, you can use Precision Finding to get turn-by-turn directions to more easily find it.

Best of all, the included battery should power the AirTag for at least a year, and when it comes time to replace it, you can do it quickly, and it's an off-the-shelf, readily available CR2032 battery.

While the AirTag has a minimalistic build, if you want to attach it to a set of keys, a pair of glasses, or even a suitcase, you may need an accessory. Unlike a Tile tracker, the AirTag doesn't feature a built-in hole suitable for a key ring here. We'd recommend picking up one of these accessories at Amazon (AMZN):

At just $25, there has never been a better time to get an AirTag, and if you're considering an item tracker and using an iPhone, there really isn't a better option. Act fast and score it on Amazon now.
