Idris Elba is known for his cool demeanour.
And as the actor and DJ took to the stage at London's 02 arena on Tuesday evening to present an award segment at the BRIT s he ensured he remained as cool as a cucumber when he was seen with his flies open.
The 49-year-old cut a trendy figure for the event in a pink bomber jacket emblazoned with Gucci across the chest, teamed with a black T-shirt and jeans.
He looked in his element as he strolled onto the stage, clad in sunglasses, to announce the nominees and then winner for the Mastercard Album of the Year gong clad in sunglasses.
As all eyes were on the Luther star as he read out the names of the acts up for the award, it quickly became apparent that he had forgotten to check the zipper on his jeans as it was left open for his big moment.
Charming Idris did not seem fussed by the wardrobe error and continued with his presenting duties as he announced Adele was the winner of the coveted award.
In a bid to protect his modesty, after welcoming Adele on stage to collect the BRIT, he then placed his cue cards in front of his crotch.
Viewers who noticed the mishap took to Twitter to share funny messages.
One person uploaded a snap of Little Mix looking shocked and penned: "Idris Elba’s fly is down."
Another added: "No one think to tell Idris Elba his flies were down before he went on stage nah."
A third joined in: "Idris Elba’s flies being undone was one of the highlights of the brits" and "did @idriselba forgot to put up his zip after using the loo!"
