More than 300 drivers have been branded idiots for ignoring 'No Parking' signs as firefighters tackle a huge field blaze.
Motorists crowded Ferry Road in Bournemouth while fire crews were fighting a heath fire, despite being told to avoid the area.
Some drivers reportedly even moved hosepipes in Studland, which firefighters were using to tackle the fire, so they could park.
The Sandbanks Ferry, which was suspended on Friday, reopened on Saturday, but visitors to Studland were told they could only park in the car parks, not along Ferry Road as firefighters needed it for access.
Dorset Police have been called to the scene and urged anyone who has parked there to return to their cars and move them.
A spokesman for police said: "We have been called to reports that more than 300 cars have ignored the council's no parking signs that have been placed along Ferry Road in Studland to allow the fire service to tackle the large heath fire there.
"The parking restrictions are in place because the water hose is running along the road to allow firefighters to deal with this incident.
"We have even received reports that motorists have been moving the hose so they can park up.
"We would urge anyone who has done this to please return to their vehicles and move them.
"Please do not park here: our fire colleagues are working in extreme conditions to tackle this blaze and they need the public to help them, not hinder them."
Firefighters tackling the aftermath of the blaze also discovered an unexploded device, believed to be a Second World War ordnance.
Dorset Police have sent out bomb disposal experts to deal with the device and warned residents and visitors they may hear a loud bang.
