During a recent news briefing, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson revealed video footage that purportedly captures the final moments of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The video, showcased by IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari, shows a drone entering a damaged building where an individual, believed to be Sinwar by the IDF, is seated on a chair. The person's body is facing away from the drone, but they seem to be looking in its direction. The individual's face is obscured, and they appear to be alone in the room.
Hagari mentioned that Sinwar had sustained a gunshot wound to his hand. The edited drone footage displays the individual holding an object that the IDF claims is a piece of wood, which the person then throws towards the drone.
According to Israeli reports, Sinwar's body was later found in the debris of the building that had been targeted by an Israeli tank the day before. It was only after IDF troops physically entered the site that the man was identified as the leader of Hamas.
