ICSE class 10, ISC class 12 results declared by CISCE

Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE Class 10) and Indian School Certificate (ISC Class 12) results for 2023 at 3 p.m. on May 14, Secretary Gerry Arathoon said.

“The result has been announced and can be accessed on the CAREERS portal and the board’s website,” Mr. Arathoon said.

According to the notice, the students can check their results by visiting CISCE's website, http://cisce.org or http://results.cisce.org

The pass percentage of ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 is 98.94% and 96.93% respectively. Girls have outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 99.21%.

The western region had the best pass percentage at 99.81% for ICSE Class 10 followed by the Southern region having a pass percentage of 99.69%. The Southern region had the highest percentage of girls 49.61% who appeared for exams

The Class 10 or ICSE examinations started on February 27 and ended on March 29, 2023. The exams were conducted in 63 written subjects of which 21 were Indian languages, 14 in foreign and two classical languages.

Class 12 or ISC examination commenced on February 13, and the last examination date was March 31. “The Class 12 (ISC) examination was conducted in 47 written subjects of which 12 were Indian languages and three were foreign languages and one classical language,” Mr. Arathoon said.

Nine students shared the top rank in Class 10 while five shared the first rank in Class 12.

In Class 10, nine students shared the top rank with 99.80% marks. They are Rushil Kumar, Annanya Karthik, Shreya Upadhyay, Advay Sardesai, Yash Manish Bhasein, Tanay Sushil Shah, Hiya Sanghavi, Avishi Singh and Sambit Mukhopadhyay.

In Class 12, five students shared the first rank with 99.75%. They are Riya Aggarwal, Ipshita Bhattacharya, Mohd Aryaan Tariq, Subham Kumar Agarwal and Manya Gupta.

This year, around 2.5 lakh students appeared for the CISCE examination for Class 10, 12.

CBSE results declared

Earlier on Friday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class announced the results of class 12 final examinations with an overall passing percentage of 87.33.
