Iconic Kilmarnock pub put on the market after weeks of speculation and uncertainty

An iconic Kilmarnock pub has been put on the market after weeks of speculation.

The Brass and Granite is seeking new custodians after 18 years of being under the same management.

Signs were placed above the popular boozer recently with the owners looking for new individuals to run the award winning pub.

Belhaven Brewery, which is owned by pub retailer Greene King, put the pub up for rent but no details of the to let offer are currently available online.

Current tenants are due to vacate the premises next month but the future of the pub still remains uncertain if no agreement is reached for someone to take charge of the pub by June.

A Greene King spokesperson said: “With the current agreement at the pub coming to an end this year, we’re reviewing how best to take the pub forward for the community and will be able to update further in due course.”
