Popular Edinburgh nightclub, Atik, has announced locals will have their last dance on Saturday.
The Tollcross nightclub, known by different generations as Cav, Clouds, Outer Limits, Bermuda Triangle and Lava & Ignite, has confirmed they will be closing their doors on Saturday January 21.
This comes as the club, owned by REKOM UK, was unable to agree a new lease with the landlord. Staff were reportedly told on Monday, according to the Edinburgh Reporter.

It will mark an end of an era for many as it was the go-to place for students and party animals throughout the years. It has been known under at least ten different monikers, but does hold a reputation for playing host to some hugely famous acts.
The likes of Pink Floyd, The Jam and The Ramones took to the stage at the club then known as ‘Clouds’ in the 1960s. Then in 1991, it reverted back to its original 1940s name of ‘The Cavendish’ in 1991 after a forgettable spell as ‘The Network.'. It attracted big acts through its doors including Calvin Harris, Basshunter and Example to Edinburgh as ‘Lava Ignite’ until 2012.
Cav made its debut that year and lasted until 2017 when it changed again to ‘Atik,’ and also starred in T2:Trainspotting during the famed nightclub scene.
A spokesperson on behalf of ATIK Edinburgh told Edinburgh Live: “We are sad to announce that ATIK Edinburgh will close on Saturday 21 January having not been able to agree a new lease with the landlord. We would like to thank our loyal guests who have partied with us over the years and our employees who have helped create lasting memories. We are in consultation with our staff and plan to relocate as many as possible. We also hope to return to Edinburgh soon and are looking at a number of sites in the city.”
