Edinburgh's iconic ice rink has been pictured being melted ahead of a brand new roller arena opening at the site near the end of the month.
Bosses at Murrayfield made the decision to transform the ice rink throughout the Summer to boost profits and get more customers into the stadium to sustain the future of the historic ice rink.
Images show huge amounts of frosty sludge and chunks of thick ice being pushed off the rink in preparation for a state-of-the-art roller-rink floor to be installed.

The rink will be open for public sessions from Friday, May, 19 and hold regular slots available to those of all ages and experience to attend.
Ice skating should return in September for the Winter months and the ground will be used for exciting competitions and activities throughout Summer.
Edinburgh Capitals will be operating an inline and ball hockey club for various age groups (more info to follow) and will be opening up registration for players at all age groups next week.
Steven Lynch, Edinburgh Capitals Coach said: "Whilst we are looking forward to ice being back down in the rink in early September, the ball and inline hockey opportunities at Murrayfield will help a lot of young players to continue their skill development and to keep in shape for the upcoming season."
Ian Blake an experienced inline skater and current Edinburgh Capitals player added: "I just want to start off by saying a huge thanks to all Edinburgh Capitals fans for the amazing support this season, and also a massive thanks to Steven Lynch for bringing me in.
"It was brought to my attention that at the end of the ice hockey season, Murrayfield Arena would be converting the ice arena into an inline/ roller skating arena.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for junior, beginner and advanced hockey players to continue their development during the summer period but also another opportunity for fans to see their Edinburgh Capitals play!
"I was happily surprised to hear that the arena would be laying specific Stilmat flooring down this summer for inline hockey/ roller skating."
Alex Robertson of Murrayfield Ice Arena said: "We will initially offer around a nine to ten-week programme of roller skating/inline/ball hockey and other sporting activities.
"It is a natural progression for the business during the summer that will include public sessions, club sessions, learn to skate and ball/inline sessions.
"We are still working on other exciting projects for the facility and a number of improvements will be made over the summer."

He added: "We would like to thank all our ice-related customers over the winter who welcomed and supported the return of ice to the facility in October. Our summer plans will help secure a long-term future for ice in the winter.
"We expect to have ice down for the second week of September and hope many of our current customers will support our summer activities."
Roller Skating sessions will start on Friday, May 19 and tickets for sessions will be £7 for admission and £3 for skate hire.
There will also be a shop selling a wide range of skates and protective equipment. Online tickets for the 4.30pm to 6.30pm session and 7pm to 10pm session are available here.
