Whether it’s Lady Gaga as a bridesmaid for her best friend’s wedding or Jessica Biel playing her part in Beverly Mitchell’s nuptials, the biggest names in Hollywood aren’t the biggest names on their loved ones’ special days.
Taylor Swift's best friend, Abigail Anderson, was immortalized in the single "Fifteen," where Swift famously sang, "Abigail gave everything she had to a boy who changed his mind.”
Luckily, Abigail seems to have recovered from her first heartbreak, as she happily wed photographer Matt Lucier in 2017. Swift was by her side the whole time, wearing Jenny Yoo’s “Mira” bridesmaid dress in Hibiscus.
According to Brides, Swift made a risqué speech in honor of the bride and groom saying, “She’s running after him, there’s falling, there’s stumbling. They make it to the bathroom, and I hear sounds that I can never un-hear... And then there’s silence.”
The Kardashian and Jenner sisters were all by Khloe's side at her wedding to Lamar Odom in 2009. Kim and Kourtney wore purple mermaid-style bridesmaid dresses, while Kendall and Kylie opted for shorter looks. Khloe and Odom's marriage didn't last but their wedding photos live on as a representation of classic 2000s wedding couture.
Rihanna supported her assistant, Jennifer Rosales, on her wedding day in Hawaii four years ago. The 'Umbrella' singer posted a photo of the bridal party on Instagram with a caption that read, “bridesmaids. #davis420wedding.” She wore a lilac Badgley Mischka gown and the beach photo she captured looked like one hell of a party
And Lady Gaga is often a bridesmaid for her pals. Most recently, Gaga celebrated her best friend and makeup artist Sarah Tanno's nuptials on the beach in a long pink gown with pink hair to match. As part of the bridal party, she hit the rehearsal dinner in a plunging black dress.
