Iceland slashes the prices of hundreds of shopping essentials to 1p - how you can claim

Iceland is helping shoppers keep costs low during the ongoing cost of living crisis by slashing the prices of hundreds of everyday essential items.

The frozen foods retailer is offering an exclusive deal where online shoppers can purchase quite a few grocery list staples for just 1p each.

From tomorrow, shoppers will be able to pick up more than 420 household shopping essentials such as milk, bread and butter in the deal.

Other items on offer include summer favourites such as burger buns, ice cream cones and fizzy drinks, as well as a selection of fresh, frozen and grocery products.

The exclusive deal is very similar to when the frozen food giant slashed the prices off their vegetables to just 1p at both Christmas and Easter in the supermarket penny veg wars.

Shoppers looking to take advantage of the deal will need to include three items that are part of the deal in their online basket on the Iceland website.

Once you are ready to checkout with your order you can enter the the promotional code 'ICEPENNY' before paying for the order.

The money-saving deal will be available for online shoppers only from Saturday, June 18, to Friday, June 24 at midnight, reports The Mirror.

Richard Walker, Managing Director at Iceland, said: “We’re continuing to work hard to ensure our customers are being supported as much as possible as the cost of living continues to rise and we hope our 3p everyday essentials sale will help a little this weekend.

“Our previous sales at Christmas and Easter were very popular and this time we’ve taken the decision to branch out and offer this deal on everyday essentials, as well as vegetables, to help our customers as we navigate through the cost-of-living crisis.

“We’re committed to helping our customers as much as we can at this difficult time and will continue to do so.”
