Iceland selling ready meals for just 1p this week amid cost of living crisis

Iceland is allowing customers to pick up ready meals for only 1p this week, though they will need to be quick to take advantage of the offer.

Until November 4, people who shop online will be able to purchase frozen dinners such as lasagne, cottage pie, bangers and mash, toad in the hole, and minced beef hotpot for the bargain price.

There are a total of 14 ready meals to choose from, which under normal circumstances would set you back £1, if you use a special code when checking out.

In order to pick up a cheap ready meal, you need to select which one you would like and then add it to your basket — though you must spend £25 or more for it to work.

After this, continue with the rest of your shop, and when you get to the checkout enter the code READY1P.

Managing Director at Iceland Richard Walker said: “Our customers told us that they really benefitted from our online 1p deal when we ran it with fresh veg, so we’re really pleased to offer it now on frozen ready meals.

“With research showing that people are giving up hot dinners due to cost-of-living concerns, offering frozen ready meals for 1p means shoppers can add them to their shop and freeze meals until they are needed.”
