Iceland selling popular energy-saving air fryer worth £60 for £35 this weekend

Iceland is set to sell a popular air fryer worth £60 at the discounted price of just £35 this weekend in a bid to help customers with rising energy prices.

With the cost of living crisis forcing many energy bills and food costs to sky rocket, many households have been looking for alternative ways to keep their costs down when in the kitchen.

One kitchen device that has gained quite a bit of popularity in the past year have been air fryers, with many swearing they are not only cheaper, but also a healthy alternative to the oven.

And that is why Iceland has joined with energy company Utilita once again to sell 20,000 4L Tower Air Fryer's for just £35 from this Saturday, October 8.

Customers looking to bag an energy-saving family-sized air fryer, worth £60, for less this weekend will be able to find them in Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores, as well as online.

Tower usually sells the kitchen gadget for £59.99, meaning shoppers can save £24.99 and cook healthy meals with the Iceland exclusive deal. Not to mention that this particular model can cook between 3-4 portions, so it is a good deal for any small families.

According to Utilita's energy’s sustainability experts, the air fryer will pay for itself in just 67 days of avoiding the oven, based on the cost of energy under the new October Energy Price Guarantee.

Iceland and Utilita's decision to begin selling the energy-efficient kitchen gadget comes after their successful Shop Smart, Cook Savvy Campaign in August, which helped households understand how much each cooking appliance cost.

The campaign revealed that households who rely on the oven for cooking could save a whopping £426 by per year by switching to more energy-efficient cooking methods, such as an air fryer.

Iceland’s Managing Director, Richard Walker, said: “Our customers are now entering into extremely worrying times. We’ve seen energy bills skyrocket and we need to do what we can to help people keep hot meals on their tables.

By providing the cheapest family-sized air fryer on the market and introducing a number of deals on air fryer friendly products, we hope this helps towards reducing their energy bills this winter.”

The 4 Litre Tower Air Fryer will be available at the discounted £35 at all Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores, as well as online, from Saturday, October 8.

Utilita’s High Street Energy Hubs will also have them available to buy at the same price from October 28.
