Iceland launching 'perfect' supersized Cadbury Creme Egg for £6

Iceland is launching a giant Cadbury Creme Egg and it's hitting stores this week.

Budget-friendly retailer Iceland boasts a loyal army of fans thanks to its wide array of affordable food, household essentials and more.

The supermarket chain has caused a stir after unveiling its exclusive new Cadbury Creme Egg Dessert. The decadent treat costs £6 for a generous 400g serving and will be coming to stores this week.

The sweet treat has been designed as a supersized version of the famed seasonal treat. Inside the Cadbury milk chocolate shell is sweet white chocolate mousse, which surrounds the classic Creme Egg fondant in the centre. The dessert is suitable for any occasion, not just for Easter.

Shoppers venturing to Iceland and The Food Warehouse - Iceland's "big brother" style store which is a large bulk-buying destination - will be able to purchase the giant dessert by around Friday, March 4.

Andrew Staniland, trading director of Frozen at Iceland, said: “This is the perfect sharing dessert that is guaranteed to wow, as families get back round the table together to celebrate Easter.

"Cadbury’s is an iconic brand and we know that our customers will absolutely love this exclusive range.”

In addition to the new dessert, another favourite sweet treat, Maltesers, has had a frozen upgrade with the launch of the Malteser White Ice Cream Sticks. The ice creams cost £3 for a pack of three but are available at an introductory price of £2.
