With the cost of living soaring, many of us are trying to find ways to save pennies wherever we can.
Some supermarkets have frozen product prices, promising customers affordability, while others have seen significant price swings. In a fresh bid to help shoppers save, Iceland has slashed the prices on a selection of everyday items - to just 1p each.
Kitchen staples including milk, bread and butter will be sold for a penny to help tackle the significant increases in the price of some budget food items, the MEN reports.

With summer on the way, other items included in the offer are summer foods such as burger buns, ice cream cones and fizzy drinks, as well as a selection of fresh, frozen and grocery items.
The offer is available online only at Iceland.co.uk from Saturday, June 18 until Friday, June 24, 2022 with plenty of family favourites available to stock up on.
Some examples of what’s been reduced include Iceland Semi-Skimmed Milk which is usually 99p for two pints, Iceland Sliced Thick Soft White Bread, usually 95p, and Just Like Butter Spread, which comes in at £1.
Iceland customers can also stock up on a whole host of food items and everyday essentials that are perfect for summer BBQs, such as Warburtons Sliced Soft White Rolls, Iceland Chocolate and Nut Cones and R. White’s Lemonade, all of which are usually £1.
Once the selected three items are in your basket, use the code ICEPENNY at the checkout to get your three products for 3p.
This isn’t the first time Iceland has launched an offer like this. The supermarket dropped the prices of its vegetables to 1p last Christmas and Easter, which proved incredibly popular with shoppers, seeing the discount redeemed by nearly 10,000 shoppers over Easter.
This deal will allow customers to save up to 99p per product, if a £1 product is selected on the offer. Customers can choose up to three products, which will be discounted to just 3p when they checkout online.
