Ice Spice's highly anticipated debut album, titled “Y2K,” is set to be released on July 26, marking a significant milestone in the career of the Bronx rapper known for her unique and laid-back flow.
The album, produced by her longtime creative collaborator RIOTUSA, who also worked on her well-received debut EP “Like...?” released in 2023, features hit tracks like “In Ha Mood” and “Munch (Feelin' U).” The latest single from Ice Spice, “Gimme A Light,” which samples Sean Paul’s 2002 dancehall hit “Gimme the Light,” will also be included in the album.
Ice Spice is gearing up for an extensive summer tour around the release of “Y2K.” She will kick off her tour in Europe, performing at various festivals throughout July before returning to North America for a headline show at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. on July 30. The tour will then take her to major cities in the U.S. and Toronto, culminating in a final show in Miami Beach, Florida on August 31, with support from RIOTUSA and rapper Cash Cobain.
Ice Spice gained significant recognition last year with multiple Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Her collaborations with Nicki Minaj on “Princess Diana” and “Barbie World,” as well as her feature on Taylor Swift's “Karma” and the summer anthem “Boy's A Liar, Pt. 2” with U.K. hyperpop artist PinkPantheress, propelled her into the spotlight. The talented rapper also received four Grammy nominations for the 66th annual award show, including nods for best rap song and best new artist.
