Ice cream parlour shows how cancelled orders are 'dismantled' - but it's a clever trick

It's hard to imagine anybody wanting to cancel a delicious ice cream order on a hot summer's day, but it does happen.

One ice cream parlour now claims to have ways and means to 'reverse' orders without ending up with a big melting pile of abandoned ice cream at the end of the day.

In a mesmerising tongue-in-cheek video, Rice's Ice-cream in Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland has humorously 'demonstrated' how such orders can be 'dismantled'.

As previously reported by Belfast Live, footage that has whipped up plenty of attention on TikTok, appears to show the sauce being hoovered back into the bottle, and the sprinkles rolled clean off.

The swirl of ice cream itself can then be seen apparently being sucked back into the machine - quite convincingly - all ready to be used again.

In the comments section, Rice's, which goes by the username @rices_icecream, wrote, "Haters will say it’s reversed", with an eye-roll emoji.

Of course, the video, which has clocked up more than 11.9 million views, is clearly intended to be a joke, with the 'reversing' simply being a case of rewinding footage of the ice cream being constructed.

However, this hasn't stopped some followers from initially being convinced by what at first glance appears to be an insider hack.

One person laughed: "Not me actually believing it when you put the flake back."

Another admitted: "My toxic trait is that I needed like 20 seconds to believe that this is a joke."

Meanwhile, trick or not, many others found the video to be a very satisfying watch, hailing it as "so smooth" and "nice to watch."

Speaking with Belfast Live, owner Emma Rice said: "I can’t take credit for the idea or the brilliant voice-over, that was one of my team Cathair Brady behind the video, but it’s actually pretty surreal seeing the number go up like that.

"Whenever my videos hit one million I think okay it’s done well and after that, it just doesn’t fully sink in. Now there's just a big push on to try and hit the big one million followers!"
