| oil shippers do contracts have a force majure clause - prices rise during war | Tanker insurance policies typically do have clauses that kick in during war (and other things considered out of anyone's control, i.e. 'acts of god'), but they apply after a casualty has occurred. This is different from rates, which do react to war in part because companies tend to re-route vessels away from risky or dangerous routes. |

I am wondering how the ANTS is used, what it tells you and what signals are generated | It was developed because David Ryan was interested in understanding which stocks moving higher would continue to move higher vs. which stocks would fizzle out. He found that this is a characteristic of winning stocks. There aren't any auto-generated signals that show up in MarketSmith, unfortunately. |

| About Justin's reference to Bill's 5 month confirmation for shorts, does KBR fit that bill? | Yep that's on its way. One other component though is that Bill liked to short former winners. The big moves could lead to big falls. That is something missing for KBR. |
| SNOW breaking down... possible short? | Not at this point; in July, when it tried to break out of a shabby, narrow base, then reversed below the 10-week line, that was likely a good short sale entry. We've written a lot of articles on the past on two key short entry points: 1) breaking down from a late-stage base breakout, right when the stock falls 75 from the buy point, usually as it falls through the 50-day MA; and 2) the head and shoulders pattern, while it's still relatively close to its latest highs. Secondary short sale entries arrive as a stock rebounds and tries to retake its falling or flatlining 10-week line and fails. |
