Ianis Hagi transfer bid set for Rangers rejection amid £6million Galatasaray interest

Ianis Hagi has been subject to an improved £6million transfer offer from Galatasaray, according to a report.

The Rangers attacker has been ruled out since January after rupturing his ACL, missing Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side remarkable run to the Europa League Final.

However, the Turkish side hope to pounce this summer.

Romanian outlet Sport.ro state Rangers will reject the offer as they still deem the 23-year-old as a key player and his current deal does not run until 2024.

Son of Barcelona and Real Madrid legend Gheorghe, Hagi has been linked with a move away from Ibrox for some time despite only joining the club in January 2020.

The report also claims Roma were interested in signing Hagi before the injury that ended his campaign early.

Hagi was born in Istanbul when his dad was playing for the Süper Lig outfit and could be keen on following in his footsteps.

He was a regular under Steven Gerrard but struggled for consistent form after van Bronckhorst's arrival, playing either on the right of midfield or through the middle.

But Gheorghe revealed in January that the player "loves it" at Rangers.
