Ian Wright has criticised Leeds United's poor finishing against Manchester United during their 2-0 defeat at Elland Road, as the former Arsenal striker labelled the Whites' hunt for a new manager as "desperate".
Two late goals from Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho saw Man United run out 2-0 winners over Leeds on Sunday afternoon. The Whites started the match with ferocious intent inside a cauldron of noise and had a handful of chances to open the scoring themselves.
Sadly for those watching on at Elland Road, Leeds were unable to find a way past David de Gea in goal and Wright has now highlighted the club's failure to be clinical as the key reason they lost the match.

He told BBC's Match of the Day 2: "They [Leeds] don’t take their chances and the way that they started against Man United, the intention from Tyler Adams was straight in [with a tackle]. Leeds were right around them [Man United]. The way they played and the way Man United started, you have to score.
"That is the problem with Leeds, they are playing some good stuff, but Patrick Bamford has to come too deep for me and I think they are missing opportunities. [After missing the early chances] It’s 0-0, that brings Manchester United into it – then they make the changes [substitutions] and they end up losing the game."
Wright then highlighted his concerns with Leeds' recruitment for a new head coach as he bemoaned a lack of clarity from the board of the direction they are heading in.
He added: "That is the thing, [the new manager] is going to need to get them scoring. I worry for Leeds fans, because it is the same people who are in charge who are going to try and the next manager. It feels a bit desperate.
"Is it the first choice, second, third choice, who is it? Are you going to stay with [Michael] Skubala to get them through? Could they have hung in there with Jesse Marsch just to see if you could have got through it? They didn’t see it out and we are going to have to see where it goes because it looks a little bit desperate for me."
