Ian Wright became the latest high profile guest to grace Conor McGregor's Black Forge Inn when he popped in on Tuesday evening.
The Arsenal legend, who has been to the establishment in the past, picked the perfect evening to go as the pub was buzzing just hours before McGregor appeared on the latest series of The Ultimate Fighter.
The Dubliner is a coach on the new series of the UFC reality show and is set to coach a group of prospects against rival coach Michael Chandler, who we learned on Tuesday night will be coaching a team of veterans.
McGregor famously coached on the show before back in 2015 alongside Urijah Faber, although tradition was broken as McGregor and The California Kid never faced off.
The Notorious is indeed scheduled to fight Chandler later this year, although there are a number of obstacles - such as McGregor's re-entering of the USADA anti-doping pool - that need to be navigated before the fight becomes official.
USADA requires fighters to provide six months worth of clean tests before they are permitted to fight in the UFC. As the Irishman has yet to re-enter the pool, a fight between Chandler can only take place in November/December 2023 at the earliest.
Should McGregor return to the Octagon this year, he will be coming in off the back of a near 30 month layoff as he hasn't fought since breaking his leg in defeat to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
