Ian Wright has heaped praise on Leandro Trossard for his impressive performance in Arsenal's win over Fulham. The 28-year-old provided assists for each of the Gunners' three goals at Craven Cottage, becoming the first player in Premier League history to achieve such feat in the first-half at an away ground.
Trossard delivered the corner which saw Gabriel Magalhaes give Arsenal the lead, before supplying Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard later in the tie. Trossard, who moved to the Emirates Stadium from Brighton in January for £21million, could have registered a fourth assist had Granit Xhaka not taken a heavy touch.
The Belgium international has hit the ground running at the north London outfit despite having been a backup option to Mykhailo Mudryk, who opted to join Chelsea instead. Speaking on Premier League Productions, Wright waxed lyrical about Trossard, labelling the forward as an 'unbelievable addition' to Mikel Arteta's side.

"He’s played against the players, he knows exactly what is needed from him," the former Arsenal striker said. "So to get a signing like that who can come in and is up to speed is invaluable to us. He’s shown from the first game to now he’s shown that he’s an unbelievable addition to this squad."
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Arteta was just as pleased with Trossard's performance as Wright was. The Spaniard said: "When we talk about composure and finding the right pass and finding the right colour when it’s looking really blurry in the box, he’s the opposite.
"He got three assists and could have scored two. I think he was really impressive. Not only that, he had an injury three days ago which could have taken a week, or another 10 days, but he was really willing to come back early and the doctors and medical staff did a lot of good work to get that.
"It makes a big difference in the team — we needed him today and his contribution was superb," Arteta added. "It’s football intelligence. He’s really clever to understand straight away what we want, what’s required. He’s executed it really well."
