Ian Wright makes 'desperate' Liverpool admission after noticing what Jurgen Klopp is doing

Former Arsenal star and pundit Ian Wright says he is 'desperate' for Liverpool to win the quadruple this season.

Jurgen Klopp 's side remain in contention for the remaining three competitions, having already lifted the Carabao Cup earlier in the campaign. They face a Champions League semi-final against Villarreal, a FA Cup final against Chelsea and could still beat Man City to the league title.

Liverpool have already secured five trophies under the current manager and will hope to add to that tally over the next month. Wright, who made over 250 appearances for Arsenal, believes there isn't a more 'befitting team' to achieve the unthinkable.

“I’m actually desperate for Liverpool in this era, in this time, this manager, this special vibe that I’m feeling with Liverpool, I’d love them to do the quadruple,” he said on The Kelly & Wrighty Show on Optus Sport.

"I’d love them to do it, because you couldn’t find a more befitting team of it. What I like about Liverpool at the minute, is when you talk about it, Jurgen Klopp isn’t shutting it down, he’s embracing that, because he knows what his team’s capable of.

“This is what I love about it, this is destiny man, I think there’s something special happening at Liverpool this season.”

Liverpool will take on Chelsea at Wembley next month in. a bid to secure their second domestic trophy of the season. While they also welcome Villarreal to Anfield next week in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

A win over the La Liga side over two legs will book themselves a place in their third Champions League final under Klopp, against either Man City or Real Madrid.
