Bristol City star Alex Scott was the focus of ITV's pre-match coverage before Tuesday's blockbuster FA Cup clash against Manchester City at Ashton Gate, with Ian Wright and Roy Keane purring over the Robins' great hope.
Scott has been the star of Nigel Pearson's side this season and a move to the Premier League appears inevitable, with Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Wolves among the clubs said to be interested in the Guernsey-born midfielder.
Wright and Keane, FA Cup winners with Arsenal and Manchester United respectively, told host Laura Woods they are excited to see the 19-year-old wonderkid live in the flesh against Pep Guardiola's superstars.
"I'm looking forward to watching Alex Scott," Wright said. "I watched him play against Preston not long ago and for a game that wasn't going anywhere, he looked amazing and I'm really looking forward to seeing him play against this calibre of player because they have got such high hopes for him, not only here at Bristol City but in the England setup as well with how good he is."
Keane knows a thing or two about good midfielders and he likes the glimpses he has seen from the England under-19 international.
"This is a great opportunity," the Irishman said. "He is almost in the shop window tonight with the opportunity to play against great players. He doesn't get that every week in the Championship.
"I've seen him a number of times and everything about him looks like a top footballer with his movement and his control. Everything looks comfortable and I'm excited to see him again tonight."
