Renowned actor Ian McKellen, 85, is anticipated to fully recover after a concerning incident during a performance at the Noel Coward Theatre in London. McKellen, known for his iconic roles in the 'Lord of the Rings' and 'X-Men' film series, was portraying the character of John Falstaff in an adaptation of William Shakespeare's 'Henry IV' plays when the mishap occurred.

The incident took place during a fight scene involving McKellen's character, Prince Hal, and Henry Percy. As McKellen moved downstage to engage more actively in the scene, he unfortunately lost his footing and fell off the stage, causing alarm among the audience members present.

Despite the fall, McKellen remained in good spirits and was promptly attended to by theater staff and medical professionals in the audience. Following a scan that indicated a positive prognosis for his recovery, it was confirmed that McKellen is expected to return to the stage for the upcoming performance.
