Notts County head coach Ian Burchnall made seven changes to the side which beat Barnet 6-1 in the National League on Tuesday night for the FA Trophy clash at Halifax this afternoon.
Callum Roberts and Kyle Cameron, two key players for the Magpies, were among those to miss out as Burchnall opted to give 90 minutes to some players who have been on the fringes of the starting 11.
Goalkeeper Sam Slocombe returned to the fold in place of on-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros while Dion Kelly-Evans and Connell Rawlinson made their return to the team after a lack of first-team minutes.
Notts were expected to play 4-3-3 against the Shaymen with Slocombe in goal behind the back four of Kelly-Evans, Rawlinson, Alex Lacey and Joel Taylor.
In midfield were Ed Francis, Frank Vincent and Ruben Rodrigues.
Up front, top scorer Kyle Wootton led the line and was supported by Kairo Mitchell and Elisha Sam who had an excellent game against the Bees in midweek and was rewarded with two goals.
Notts: Slocombe; Kelly-Evans, Rawlinson, Lacey, Taylor; Francis, Vincent, Rodrigues; Sam, Wootton, Mitchell.
