Ian Brown came under attack from his own fans last night for putting on a 'karaoke gig' that left many heading for the exits just half an hour in.
The Stone Roses frontman was slammed after putting on the sold out show without a band as he kicked off his UK tour in Leeds on Sunday night.
He left audience members in disbelief as he sang to a backing track as the music icons quickly became a trending topic with some brutal tweets hitting out at the uninspiring performance.
Many were far from happy he didn't belt out any of his big hits and played over a painful backing track.
Some had paid up to £50 to see the 59-year-old rocker take to the stage.
One fan wrote: "Gutted to see @ianbrown turn up to his £40 a ticket, sold out gig at leeds tonight WITH NO BAND. I’m a life long fan but it was bad. #ianbrown does karaoke and butchers his own tunes."
Another put: "Ian Brown charging £50 a ticket to only sing his solo tunes, over a backing track, with no band is quite something."
One fan and his partner said they had seen enough around half an hour in and made their exit.

They posted: "Me and my wife lasted 36 minutes exactly before walking out. I think the auto tune on the microphone lasted 3 songs. Real shame as I was looking forward to seeing him solo as only ever seen stone roses. No band at all was a let down."
It didn't end there and someone recorded the performance and put: "For someone is known for not being a great singer, you'd think he would find the loudest band to mask his terrible singing. I'm using this video to keep the local cats out of my garden.."
Another tweeted: "It’s sad to be reading this. I’ve been to loads of his gigs. Some were better than others but they were all great gigs. Why on earth would he decided that no band was a good idea. £40 too! I went to see Roger Waters on Sat night for $45 & what a show that was."
Mirror Online have contacted his reps for comments.
Some defended him with one saying: "It’s Ian Brown solo artist - the clue’s in the title! Thought he was brilliant and so was Dermo - absolute bonus to hear Northside tunes!"
