People who work at Starbucks receive all sorts of strange requests. Some people ask for drinks off the 'secret menu', without providing a recipe, while others ask for 'healthy' or 'keto friendly' drinks.
One Starbucks barista, who has worked as a shift supervisor for 10 years, has shared a bizarre request they keep getting from a customer.
Uploading a video to TikTok through their account @angry_barista, she said: "It p***es me off every time I see her name."
The customer, whose name on the Starbucks cup is Kortnie, likes her drink incredibly sweet – with just a dash of coffee.
At the beginning of the video, the on-screen text reads: "Tell me you don't like coffee by not telling me you don't like coffee," before showing a grande-size Starbucks cup which is filled halfway with syrup.
The Starbucks employee then breaks down the recipe measurements that the customer has asked for – six pumps of vanilla, seven pumps of caramel syrup, eight pumps toffee nut syrup and seven pumps white mocha.
Pointing between the second and third lines on the cup, the barista explains that according to standard practice, this is the amount of cold brew they would pour in her drink, but because she has asked for "light ice", they will give her a "tad bit more".
She continued: "But that won't even make a difference with the amount of syrup she has in this cup."
The barista then shows the amount of ice she added to the cup – which is similar to the amount of coffee.
Then she adds a salted cold foam, which is topped with apple drizzle and cinnamon dolce.
Social media users were horrified by the amount of syrup the customer added to her order – and especially the ratio to coffee.
One person said: "Apparently they like cavities more than coffee."
"This made my teeth hurt," one viewer joked.
Another added: "Makes my stomach turn just thinking about this much sugar in one drink."
A third commented: "I’ve seen sooo many people get drinks with so much syrup. Whyyyyy?"
Others were baffled by the small amount of coffee that went into the drink, with one asking: "So a dash of coffee!?"
Another said: "They want sugar with their sugar and a dash of coffee."
