'I went to hospital thinking I had kidney stones - but came home with a baby girl'

A woman was left with more than she bargained for after her emergency visit to hospital left her with a shocking discovery.

TikTok user @mamafusti took the video-sharing platform to share a short and hilarious clip about her surprising ordeal.

Kayla took a trip to the emergency department as she thought that she had kidney stones - when in fact she was 38 weeks pregnant.

Surprised mum Kayla captioned the post, "The joke was, in fact, on me," beside two laughing emojis.

In the video - which has been viewed over 560,000 times to date - she danced to the lyrics of The Joke is On You by Niki Watkins.

"Going to the ER with back pain thinking I have kidney stones," she wrote.

"The doctor telling me that I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I'm in labour," she added.

Making sure to clear up questions about the unique situation, Kayla shared a video where she discussed falling pregnant at 21.

"It happened to me and I'm still curious to know how it happens," she said. "I was 21 most of the pregnancy."

"I just turned 22 when I had her, I didn't know about being pregnant.

She went on: "I didn't know what pregnancy symptoms were, so sure maybe I felt like cramps and stuff.

"If I knew I was pregnant, I'd be like, 'Oh, it's because I'm pregnant - that's why I feel this way'.

"But I didn't know I was pregnant," she added.

Users of the social media app fled to the comment section to share their thoughts on the hilarious ordeal.

One user joked: "Awww my lil kidney stone is two year's old now".

"My cousin had PCOS and they told her that her symptoms were because of that," another penned. "She went to the ER because she was feeling off and baby was born lol".

"I'm always curious how this happens lol, especially currently being pregnant and knowing this is terrible," someone commented aside two laughing emojis.
