Arthur Melo has vowed to 'come back stronger' from his recent injury setback as the Liverpool midfielder prepares for an extended period on the sidelines.
It was confirmed last week the Brazilian is expected to be out of action until 2023 after it emerged he required surgery on a muscle injury sustained during first-team training.
The 26-year-old has only made one substitute appearance for the Reds since joining the club on loan from Juventus on transfer deadline day, earning 13 minutes of match action during the club's dismal Champions League defeat by Napoli last month, and must now remain patient as his rehabilitation process begins.

The months ahead will likely be tough for the former Barcelona star, who has seen his hopes of representing his country at the World Cup ended and may be even further behind in the midfield pecking order as the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones and Naby Keita edge closer to making their respective returns.
Arthur is determined to remain mentally strong, however, and has insisted he remains hungry to prove his worth when the time arrives. Sharing a message to Liverpool supporters on Instagram, he wrote: "Last week was not the best for me… Sadly, as you know, an unfortunate injury to my left thigh will keep me out of action for a while.
"It comes just at time when, after huge effort and lots of hard work, I was ready to establish myself in my new team and determined to fight for my dream of playing at the World Cup.
"It is now time for me to keep my head up and join forces with my family and do everything I need to with my team to make sure I come back stronger as soon as possible. No obstacle will prevent me from progressing in my career and I have great ambition to show what I can do on the pitch.
"In the meantime, I will continue to support my Liverpool teammates and my beloved Brazil national team. Thanks for all the messages of support!"
