'I was mauled by two dogs who bit my arms, legs and face as I walked in a park'

A woman who was mauled by two dogs in the park and had to fight them off, has told her harrowing story of the attack.

The unnamed victim relived the horror that took place in Lambeth, London.

She described how when she approached the park, a man was walking three dogs on their leashes.

She said that had they not been on their leashes, she wouldn’t have entered, but about “halfway or a quarter way across he left them off” and they ran past her.

At first she didn’t react until they came hurtling towards her, leading to the attack.

Police are now hunting for the dog owner who ran with his dogs, after his pets savagely attacked the woman.

Distressing footage captured the attack and was widely shared on social media, showing the victim getting pinned down by the dogs.

Then, in a second clip shared on social media, a woman claiming to be the victim, was shown laying in a hospital bed with her arm in a heavy bandaging.

She said: “I was walking through the park to get to the other side.

“But there was a man in there with his dogs, they were on a leash at first, otherwise I wouldn’t have gone in there.

“But when I was about halfway, or quarter of the way, he let them off.

“They ran past me and I ignored them, and continued to walk and then they came towards me and I started to ask him ‘can you please take them, please.’”

She said she explained she didn’t like dogs but they then began biting her.

She continued: "I was literally trying to push them down and fight them to get off me and then they started to get aggressive.

"One jumped and bit me on my face then I started screaming."

In the video the owner can be seen trying to stop the two attacking dogs, as he clings onto a third dog by its collar.

The victim said: "One of them came on to my right arm and was biting into my arm. He [the owner] couldn't get them off.

"It was going on for a few minutes. I fell on the floor, he told me to get up and he was like 'don't run don't run'.

"Afterwards they were on my arm and he started calling for help. He was able to stop one dog but the last one was still on me.

"I had to take off my jumper and wrestle the dog off me.

"Eventually its mouth loosened and I took my jumper off and just ran out of the park.

"Then after that I fell on the floor and couldn't walk."
