Dean Henderson has slated Manchester United after he revealed he rejected a number of loan offers last summer having been told he would be the club's first-choice goalkeeper.
The shot-stopper joined Nottingham Forest on loan this summer after becoming frustrated with a lack of playing time at Old Trafford. Many had expected Henderson to become the club's long-term No.1 having broken into the first team during the 2020/21 campaign.
He was told by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he would retain his place in the starting XI the following season, though a bout of Covid derailed his campaign, allowing David de Gea to reclaim his place between the sticks.

Now, in a revealing interview with talkSPORT, the on-loan goalkeeper has aimed an astonishing dig at his parent club, claiming they "wasted" 12 months of his career.
"I turned so many good loans down last summer for that reason [being promised the No.1 spot], and they wouldn't let me go," he revealed. "It was frustrating. To sit there and waste 12 months is criminal really, at my age. I was fuming."
He continued: "The conversation I had, coming out of the Euro squad, was that you're coming back here to be the number one goalkeeper. I got Covid - unfortunately, no one followed through with anything they told me."
