An N-Dubz fan has spoken of his disappointment after the hip-hop trio cancelled a show in Nottingham "at the very last minute" after its support acts had performed - and questioned why the band did not cancel earlier in the day. The concert, at the Motorpoint Arena last night (November 22), was part of the group's Back To The Future tour following their recent return after 11 years.
N-Dubz apologised but said singer Dappy had been advised by doctors to rest and would be unable to perform. Kevin Cooper, who often writes reviews for Nottinghamshire Live, was among the crowd and looking forward to the show.
He said: "It was a very disappointed Motorpoint Arena crowd who last night had waited for three-and-a-half hours to see N-Dubz perform their second show as part of their Back To The Future tour, only to be informed ten minutes after the start time that Dappy was too ill to perform.

"This was the latest setback to a tour which has seen incidences of mass violence previously break out at the Bournemouth International Centre as well as at their Glasgow and Leeds performances, which has marred the getting together of cousins Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer.
"With tickets for the tour selling out within minutes of going on sale, this was a highly-anticipated show. But on entering the arena, rumours were quickly circulating that there might be a problem, and when the staff were asked, they were unable to comment.
"With Dappy announcing on Instagram earlier in the day that there were 'too many back to back shows with no proper breaks, now I'm completely f*****. Voice basically gone', it wasn't a huge surprise that the concert had to be cancelled.
"But what was a surprise was that they waited so late to inform the crowd, many who had travelled to see the show. If Dappy knew so much earlier that he was struggling and further commented 'Nottingham I pray things change in the next hour with me', perhaps the sensible thing to have done was to cancel and rearrange so as to avoid the possibility of any the fractious behaviour that has been witnessed at other shows. Thankfully, this Nottingham crowd behaved impeccably."
N-Dubz consists of Dappy - whose real name is Costadinos Contostavlos - his cousin Tulisa Contostavlos and Fazer, real name Richard Rawson. On social media, N-Dubz wrote: "We're so sorry we had to cancel the show tonight.
"We tried to do everything possible to make the show happen, but a doctor advised at the very last minute that Dappy was unable to perform and needed to rest tonight.
"The O2 Arena show tomorrow and the rest of the tour will still be going ahead. We will make a further statement after Dappy has seen the doctor again tomorrow morning."
