A new mother has shared her regret over the "harsh" sounding name she gave her daughter, but some people aren't keen on her other choice, which they believe sounds a bit too rude.
According to the conflicted parent, she and her partner were so indecisive when it came to baby girl names that they didn't name their daughter for a whole month.
They eventually settled on Winter, having felt under pressure to give their little girl a name, but are now having some regrets, and are even considering changing it altogether.
She isn't keen on the "harsh" sound of Winter, and can't think of any good nicknames for her, apart from Winnie which she just doesn't like at all.
Sharing her thoughts via Mumsnet, she wrote: "I really like Willa it sounds more whimsical. We also discussed changing it to Aurelia but it's gotten really really popular on the charts so don't want her to be in school with five Aurelias.
"Should we change it to Willa or stick with Winter? Also if we did [change it to] Willa should we keep Winter as a middle name? Her current middle name is Maeve after my nan Mavis."
Unfortunately, some fellow Mumsnet users just couldn't get on board with Willa, which they thought sounded a bit too much like somebody's private parts.
One person wrote: "Willa is too similar to Willy, and Aurelia (Aur-ail-ya/Aur-ail-ee-a/Aur-eelia/Aur-eel-ee-a?) too complicated and frilly."
Another commented: "I'd stick with Winter. It's much nicer than Willa which has an unattractive sound. I find it much harsher than Winter."
A third suggested: "Could you reverse the names and go for Maeve Winter? Maeve is beautiful so it would seem the most obvious solution."
