A woman who used to share snaps of herself on OnlyFans during her lunch break at the office reveals she has now ditched her 9 to 5 gig altogether. Like others across the UK, Alexia Woods was feeling the pinch from the rising cost of living, having been struggling in low-paid jobs for years. Despite working six days a week, the 20-year-old found herself unable to pay her bills and “couldn’t sleep” due to constant money worries. Having heard about others' success on the adult site, she decided to give it a go for herself – and was shocked by the amount of cash that began to flow in.
As the world economy plunges, she believes others will soon follow in her footsteps. “It was exciting to work on my OnlyFans during the day and it definitely made the office job more exciting,” said Alexia, who now makes five figures a month. ”I always had to be very careful and made sure I only did it on my lunch break. If I got caught doing non-work-related things during office hours, I could have been sacked because it’s a fireable offence.
“I also spent most evenings chatting to my fans or taking more videos and photos. Although it was entertaining, it was exhausting juggling the two jobs. Alexia would take home £1,400 per month from her day job – which she says is not enough to live on. She said: “I have worked in some form of low-paid industry since I was 14. In school, I waitressed every day from 5pm-10pm until I was 18 and the restaurant shut down during lockdown.
“I quickly got a new job doing admin work but I wasn’t making anything near what you need in London to live here. After paying tax and national insurance, I was still only bringing in around £1,400 a month. With bills going up and the rising cost of living, I couldn’t afford anything anymore. I remember looking around the office one day and just thinking ‘this isn’t going to go anywhere'.
“I started my OnlyFans account soon after that.”
At first, Alexia was nervous to put images of herself on the internet but soon gained the confidence to show off her body. She added: “I was very cautious for the first few months because I feared getting fired from my day job. I also really didn’t want any awkward conversations with colleagues. But I thought that if I’m putting myself out there, I have to do it properly.
”Someone from my old school sent a post from my Twitter to my partner as a way to expose me, but he already knew and was supportive. This was a catalyst to tell my parents – I didn’t want anyone holding this over me. They had the standard shocked reaction at first. I now make my old annual salary in a month and I explained to them how this work covers everything.
”They understand and support me.”
In August, Alexia quit her office job to focus on selling snaps and has no regrets, now making from £12,000-£16,000 per month. In fact, she encourages others to do it too. She said: “I’ve found so much freedom doing this full time. I can post what I want, when I want and I’m more in control.
”How much I earn ranges but in a good month, I earn more than my old yearly salary. It’s must better for my mental health than a 9-5.
”As well as paying my bills, I’ve had some great opportunities to travel – I’ve been to Iceland, Malaga and Italy in the past year. If you are struggling with money right now, OnlyFans is definitely an option to be considered but keep in mind it is a lot of hard work and you will have to dedicate a considerable amount of your time to it.
“You can do this all yourself.”
