I often pass through Dublin Airport but only just realised I had never ventured into any of their lounges.
Upon flying to Abu Dhabi a couple of weeks ago, I decided to try The East Lounge, open to passengers flying east. The reservation came to €35 and it was all booked through an online system, Dublin Live reported.
I came to the airport not long before my flight due to the distance, meaning I could make the most of the lounge, found on the corridor connecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in Dublin Airport.

Despite expecting luxury, I can honestly say that the East Lounge still surpassed my expectations.
I had amazing views of the runway, which were great and the lounge had a relaxing atmosphere that felt far away from the usual pandemonium of the terminals.
There was a buffet breakfast with a selection of fruit, cereals, yoghurts and pastries as well as unlimited tea and coffee. You could also order two free alcoholic beverages of your choice.
The toilet were clean and tidy and included a shower room and clean towels, to set me right for an eight hour flight.
All in all, I felt paying €35 to use the lounge was excellent value, as there was no need to buy breakfast or a beer.
If you're looking for a comfortable place to wind down before your East-bound flights, definitely consider booking into the East Lounge. You can find out more information online.
