I tried the website where current season £140 ASOS summer dresses cost £5

Fashion fans have discovered a discount website where brand new and current season ASOS outfits worth upwards of £140 cost £5. each. The website is packed full of thousands of ASOS outfits which are all £5, with its offering including Summer dresses, skirts, tops, coats, shoes and much more suitable for weddings, brunches, festivals, picnics, nights out and Summer holidays.

Thousands of ASOS-owned brands have been reduced by up to 90% off their original price. But is it too good to be true? I tried it for myself to see if it lives up to the hype.

The first huge bargain I spotted on ASOS' pop up sale site included this ASOS EDITION sequin cutwork mini dress with faux feather hem in pink. The stunning glam ballerina-esque dress costs a whopping £140 on ASOS' home website, however if you nabbed it in the sample sale, it would have cost you just £5.

To be honest, I couldn't quite believe my eyes when I saw a current season £140 dress for £5. It's cheaper than most charity shops.

The dramatic styled, sleeveless, sequined mini features a faux-feather hem in a champagne-pink that would have you twirling on the dance floor all night long. If you're looking to turn heads at a wedding this summer, this dress has you covered, all while saving an impressive £135.

One outfit that caught my eye immediately was this ASOS DESIGN satin tea jumpsuit with puff sleeve in floral print. Made from satin-style fabric, this glossy, drapey and silky-smooth dreamy number would be a super unique alternative to the traditional wedding guest dress.

Not to mention it’s stunning lilac colour that features a reddish-brown floral design. This pretty, stylish jumpsuit can be worn any time to any occasion.

If you’re not a fan of tight fitting jumpsuits, this “one-piece wonder” features a wide leg and flowing material, which I find helps hide the tummy area. It features a plunge neck, puff sleeves and a tie-front which really accentuates the bust and proves an ultra feminine look.

Gingham pattern screams Summer picnic and the £5 ASOS DESIGN sweetheart neck jumpsuit with tie shoulder in green gingham is perfect for the occasion. This lightweight, seersucker jumpsuit is ideal for lounging about at events like family BBQs due to the stretch material.

Paired with some brown sandals and raffia handbag, this outfit is chic and elegant, providing an utterly effortless look. With a swap from flats to heels, and straw bag to a glitzy clutch, this outfit can be dressed up or down.

If you’re looking to make a statement at boozy brunch with the gals, this ASOS DESIGN Petite soft shirred waist open back mini dress in green floral will do everything and more. Food and alcohol are a recipe for a bloated tummy and it can be often uncomfortable to sit with a tight dress on during brunch.

With the shirred waist on this light green floral mini dress, you can feel extra comfortable and confident as the day progresses.- The dress long flowing sleeves, a plunge neck and stunning cutout back - so while the pattern may be dainty, some of the features on this dress add the perfect amount of spice.

The ASOS Sample Sale is a dedicated pop-up website for UK customers to buy a selection of recent ASOS fashion at sample sale prices for a limited time only. Products made available for sale on ASOS Sample Sale will not be available on the main asos.com website. Standard delivery costs £3 with returns charged at £2.

For those looking to find brand new high street outfits on a budget beyond the ASOS store, there are plenty of options. Martin Lewis-approved website EverythingFivePounds buys leftover and excess stock from retailers like Marks and Spencer, River Island, Oodie and Karen Millen, and sells it for a fraction of the price.

River Island also has its own eBay store where current season outfits, many of which are still in stock in high street stores and on its website, cost as little as £3. Finally, Schuh has a little-known section of its website where Nike and Adidas trainers with minor defects are less than half price.
