I tried the Sainsbury's TU Clothing pink midi dress that's been selling out all summer

A TU Clothing dress shoppers and influencers have been loving is finally back in stock, and I managed to get my hands on it before it sold out again.

The Pink Puff Sleeve Poplin Midi Dress is down from £22 to £11 and is also available in a petite version with only a couple sizes left. Popular influencers @carolinesstylehacks, @carolem_beauty, @stripeycoral and @fashionabell_, who have a combined 160 thousand followers between them have been promoting the dress and it's been so popular that it's continuously been in and out of stock for the past few weeks.

After TU Clothing announced via its Instagram page it was finally back in stock, I had to give it a try to see what all the fuss was about. Now I understand.

The colour of the dress alone was enough to impress me, but it was the fact that it was so easy wearing that sold me completely. I was instantly obsessed with its puffy sleeves that made me feel instantly put together and somewhat smart.

You can choose whether you want to dress up or dress down this dress which is another bonus. I paired mine up with some converse and pretty much looked the definition of smart casual.

It's a really versatile piece of clothing, and that's what I love it. The dress could be a great option for a number of different outings, I've worn mine in the office, to the theatre and I'm also planning on wearing it to a picnic.

I loved the colour of the dress (Emily Sleight/ Liverpool ECHO)

Of course, the boldness of the pink shade makes this particular a dress very much a summery item of clothing, perhaps why it's on sale. But it's the colour of the dress that I think makes it so popular.

It's a really lovely pink shade that's not too bright but bright enough. If I had to describe it, I'd say it's a dark baby pink and it really flattered my skin tone (thank you fake tan!).

The thin, breathable material makes it incredibly comfortable and easy to slip on for an effortless look. I'm also a big fan of the tiered design at the bottom of the dress to add a bit of extra femininity.

For those who are after a dress that they can pop on and feel instantly confident, I'd highly recommend this one. I fully understand the hype surrounding the dress, and felt confidence oozing out of me as soon as I put it on.

You can purchase the dress here, which is currently on sale for £11 down from £22.
