'I tried the new limited edition Krispy Kremes and I want them to stay forever'

Krispy Kreme doughnuts are, in my opinion, the greatest of all time. God tier baked goods glazed to perfection.

So when I discovered they were releasing two brand new, limited edition flavours, I practically drooled on my keyboard.

The new releases are inspired by Brits ‘most loved’ flavours, and are featured in the caramel and chocolate shop boxes, as well as individually.

The first new release is the exclusive Rolo doughnut, filled with a rich caramel that oozes out of the doughnut when you take a bite.

It’s dipped in chocolate and drizzled with caramel before being topped with three Rolo’s that you’ll find impossible to share. I won’t be giving my first Rolo Krispy Kreme to anyone!

The second new flavour is Golden Chocolate, which is dipped in golden caramel chocolate icing, and topped with white chocolate and crisp pearls, like the kind you get in corner yoghurts.

Inside, there’s a white chocolate cream filling that should be mass produced and sold in tubs like Betty Crocker frosting.

Both doughnuts cost £2.45 each, which is pretty consistent with Krispy Kremes filled doughnuts pricing.

One thing I really like about the brand is how soft and light their dough is. It’s just so well proved and fluffy, meaning it doesn’t lie too heavy on the stomach either.

The new flavours are delicious, the fillings are really moreish and they look great too.

And if you like the sound of the new flavours, you can also find them alongside the caramel iced, choco dream original filled, and Krispy Kreme’s signature glazed ring doughnuts - the OG - in the caramel and chocolate shop dozen, which is like a pick ‘n’ mix of complementary flavours.

One thing’s for sure, though - I never want these flavours to leave the shelves.

A spokesperson for Krispy Kreme said: “Krispy Kreme is on a mission to create joy now for everyone in 2022. Since the last couple of years have been very uncertain Krispy Kreme takes every opportunity to create moments of joy that can be shared with others, introducing new doughnuts celebrating two of the most loved flavours of Brits and Krispy Kreme fans alike.

“The new Caramel & Chocolate Shop doughnuts are a real celebration of fan-favourites with a new, exciting twist – helping people to embrace old favourites and bringing people together to share with friends and family.”

Rolo and Golden Chocolate are not the only newbies in the Krispy Kreme counter this March. Returning by popular demand, the fan favourite Toffee Krispy doughnut is also back for just three weeks from March 14, 2022.

The collab between Nestle and Krispy Kreme is perfect for toffee lovers, featuring the iconic crispy cereal and soft caramel covered in a smooth chocolate coating, drizzled with sticky toffee sauce.

The Krispy Kreme range is available to purchase in selected Tesco, Sainsbury’s, ASDA and Morrisons stores for take-away and across delivery partners including Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat from £2.45 per doughnut
