'I tried the 'new' Cadbury More chocolate bars from B&M - and I'm hooked'

A new Cadbury's chocolate bar was recently spotted on B&M shelves, which claims to be the "chunkiest" chocolate ever produced by the confection giant.

The Cadbury More range has been released to commemorate its centenary and comes in a variety of unusual flavours that are packed with toffee, fruit and nuts. While they are not for sale in all UK retailers, they are available in the bargain superstore.

This came to light after one eagle-eyed shopper spotted the treats while scanning the B&M shelves for Christmas stock. Known only as @treatsinstore, the chocolate fan posted their find on Instagram after uncovering two of the three bars.

As of now, no UK retailers advertise the chocolate as being sold in their stores, with the bars only having an official release in Australia.

Of the three flavours - two are made from creamy milk chocolate - one stuffed with peanuts, cashews and almonds, while the second is full of nuts and sweet salted toffee. The third, aimed at dark chocolate lovers contains the classic Fruit N'Nut combo of sultanas and whole almonds.

Now, as a chocolate lover I am always seeking out new items to add to my snack collection, but learning about a sweet treat that's not for sale everywhere in the country piqued my curiosity.

Luckily for me, this find was not a one-time fluke. I found two of the three flavours on shelves. I was initially shocked to learn that each bar costs £2.99, but after picking them up, I understood why.

These chocolate bars are dense and noticeably heavier than other chocolate bars - Nuts and Salted Toffee and Mixed Roast Nuts. Each weighs 165g, which is significantly more than a standard 100g share sized bar.

Now that I had found the chocolate, the next step was to give it a try. I headed in the door and popped on the kettle as chocolate of this size should be enjoyed with a cuppa.

And boy was I right. Upon opening, I uncovered two double sized chocolate bars and instantly became excited.

First, I tried the nuts and salted toffee flavour. Unlike smaller flavoured chocolate, each bite contained a substantial chunk of peanuts and salted toffee. The mixed nuts also delivered a nutty chocolate experience with every bite.

Both bars were delicious and offered that creamy Cadbury's chocolate quality that claims to have " a glass and a half of milk" in every bar.

And with how big each square is, a little goes along way, justifying the £2.99 price tag. All though I ate several squares from each bar before finally restraining myself.

Needless to say, if you are a nut fan, or allergic than you should steer clear. Otherwise, the Cadbury's More range is the perfect addition to your Christmas snack cupboard.

While the bars are clearly for sale in the UK B&M's stock can vary between stores, so the only way to know if your local shop stocks them is to check for yourself.

The Daily Record has contacted B&M to enquire about UK availability.
