McDonald's has long earned its reputation for serving tasty treats and desserts, largely thanks to its ever-changing selection of McFlurries.
For my part, the fast food chain's Maltesers McFlurry, Creme Egg McFlurry and Tiramisu McFlurry stand out as recent favourites.
But I might have to update my list of the best-ever ice cream flavours after sampling the brand-new Lotus Biscoff McFlurry. I think it might be my new number one.
Picture soft serve ice cream topped off with gooey sauce and crunchy caramelised biscuit. Alternatively, you can look at my order below (photographed after delivery).
Together with my sister, I tested the standard size and mini option, available for £1.99 and £1.49 respectively, and we were both seriously impressed.
As a longtime fan of Lotus Biscoff, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new release. Luckily, it lived up to my high expectations. Neither of the two toppings tasted sickly or too sweet for my liking - in fact, I worked my way to the bottom of the tub with ease.
Meanwhile, my sister, who is neither a Biscoff lover nor a hater, enjoyed her dessert just as much.
We agreed that this is a must-try for any Biscoff fans, but it's also well worth a taste if you're looking to try a new flavour.
A moreish ice cream - one with the perfect crunch - it's nice to see a non-chocolate option on the menu.
Talking of chocolate, I'd also recommend the new double chocolate pie for anyone with a sweet tooth. McDonald's item description - "crispy chocolate pastry filled with a rich chocolate ganache" - is pretty spot on.
Available for £1.19, it's certainly crispy, and I think the flavoured pastry pairs well with the ganache. That being said, I'm not sure this will be for everyone. I'm normally a big chocolate fan, but it was all getting to be a bit too much for me by the time I finished the pie.
It's small but mighty. Perhaps I should have paired it with the McFlurry - or something savoury - for balance.
Alongside the new desserts, the all-new Caesar and bacon wrap and mozzarella bites joined the menu today.
The summer menu also sees the return of two previous fan favourites: the spicy sriracha wrap and the double Big Mac burger.
