Since I'm only 5 ft 3, I often get put off by jumpsuits because I think they drown me and look a bit silly.
I always get a bit self conscious about my tummy area too, which is something I'm trying to stop worrying about. I've been after a jumpsuit that I truly feel confident in for a good while now, but have had no luck.
I always see other people wearing jumpsuits and looking amazing, so I thought it was about time I set out to find the perfect jumpsuit that made me feel amazing. Matalan never fails, so I took a trip to my local store in Bromborough to see if I could find some nice options.

I tried on a few different options but didn't really like the print of them, until I came across an Et Vous Monochrome Print Jumpsuit for £27 that looked absolutely stunning on the hanger. The question is, how would it look on me?
The jumpsuit
It's safe to say that this print certainly isn't for everyone, but I absolutely loved it. It's super bold, and although it's a little busy I think it would be really easy to style because its monochrome. The material was incredibly soft, and didn't cling to my hips which I was really glad about.
On the Matalan website, the full product description reads: "Add a striking print to your going-out wardrobe with this timeless monochrome design. Styled with a fierce V-neck, floaty short sleeves and a wide fit through the legs, making it a perfect piece for the warmer months, it's finished with a comfy cinched-in waist. Ideal for wearing with heels or sandals."
Everything about this jumpsuiit was incredibly flattering, and it didn't drown me like I thought it would. The jumpsuit can easily be styled up and down with a pair of black chunky heels or some trainers and a denim jacket for a more casual vibe.
It's important to note that the material of the jumpsuit is quite thin, so you'd definitely have to layer up on a chilly spring evening. Come summer time I think this jumpsuit could be perfect though, and you could even get away with wearing it with some chunky sandals.
I've already got visions of wearing this jumpsuit with a bold red lip for extra oomph on a warm summer evening. The best part is, whenever I decide to wear it, I'm going to feel comfortable, and that's all that matters.
For years I've worn uncomfortable, tight clothes that I thought looked 'fashionable' when in reality I ended up being miserable and self conscious. It turns out that there's so many flattering options right under my nose, at my local Matalan!
The verdict
I'm a huge fan of the whole Et Vous range at Matalan, and love the array of different prints on offer. Although some of them are a bit bold and bright, there are some more relaxed options available lke this Navy Double Cloth Jumpsuit for £23.
This jumpsuit was stunning, and incredibly soft against my skin. I felt really comfortable wearing it, which is rare for me, especially when it comes to jumpsuits.
It's currently available in sizes 8, 10, 12, 16, 18 and 20. Shoppers can purchase the jumpsuit for £27 here.
