I tried a coffee that promises to reduce brain fog and procrastination and was shocked by the results

When I first tried coffee it began a love hate relationship that I didn't realise would carry on for at least a decade, as someone who has a tendency to need a lunch time and evening nap in addition to eight hours of sleep at night it's no surprise that I often need a little energy boost.

Coffee tends to be exactly that, the caffeine perking me up and making it much easier to be a morning person. But this means I'm also painfully familiar with the jitters and crash that sometimes comes with it. So when I heard about London Nootropics and more to the point its Adaptogenic Coffee that promises to let me 'enjoy the benefits of caffeine whilst minimising side-effects' I was intrigued.

I got the selection box to see if it would live up to the hype and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived at my home, the delivery is really fast and it comes in a well presented box. But what's important was what was inside, there are three different blends: Mojo, Zen and Flow.

It's Flow that stands out to me above all, it contains Lions Mane mushroom & Rhodiola and aims to help with motivation, mental clarity & focus. It's said to be good for those who want assistance with short & long-term memory, brain fog & reducing procrastination.

The coffee is easy to make, simply empty the sachet into a cup and mix the powder with hot water or a hot milk of your choice and it's ready to go. I did find it to be quite bitter but it's worth noting that I tend to add a shot of caramel syrup to coffee whenever I get my caffeine fix, with caramel mixed in I found it to be quite pleasant in taste.

But it's what came after that surprised me. Normally when I drink coffee I feel quite warm as the caffeine works through my system and while I have more energy I find that I get distracted far more easily. But in this case it was much easier to feel motivated and fly through my to-do list.

It's not unusual for me to get distracted mid-sentence and take tangents in conversations with the original point completely missing from my memory. But after drinking this coffee I had no problem staying on track and focusing intently. Not only that but it lasted all day.

I didn't find myself needing a nap, which came as a shock to everyone who tries to contact me during prime nap time, and I also didn't face that classic caffeine crash that I normally face a few hours after sipping on a latte. I'm really impressed by Flow and look forward to trying Zen and Mojo which aim to alleviate stress and help with stamina.
