It can be tough finding a face mask for under £5 these days, which is why I knew I had to try Aldi's Lacura £2.99 Pink Clay Mask when I spotted it online.
This time of year, skincare is more important than ever, especially with the freezing cold weather. I wanted to find a face mask that gave my skin some much needed nourishment.
The Lacura Pink Clay Mask has an average star rating of 4.8 out of 5 and is described by Aldi as the 'ideal addition' to your beauty routine. It's said to 'detoxify' your skin, leaving it feeling fresh and revitalised.

Featuring Witch Hazel for a clearer and brighter complexion, the cruelty free mask comes with a brush for application which I absolutely love. If I'm being completely honest, I wasn't expecting much for a £2.99 face mask, but I was soon proved wrong once I'd applied the product to my face. Here's how it went.
How the mask felt when it went on
In terms of the consistency of the mask, I was really surprised at how thick it was. The clay mask was just the right amount of thickness, with enough texture for it to spread over my face evenly.
The colour of the mask was absolutely gorgeous, giving it a pink luxurious feel that definitely felt like it cost more than £2.99. I applied a thin layer of the mask to my face and felt a cooling sensation on my skin almost instantly.
Some clay masks can be incredibly thick and uncomfortable once on, but this felt really smoothing, almost like I was in a relaxing spa and not my dinky little bathroom. It wasn't until I had the mask on for a few minutes that I felt that it really working, it sunk into all my pores and problem areas and really worked its magic.
What the results were like
I left the Aldi Lacura Pink Clay Mask on for just 10 minutes, and couldn't believe how soft my skin felt after I'd washed it off with warm water. I can honestly say my skin has never felt that soft, even after using a good moisturiser.
In terms of the 'brighter complexion' I saw a slight change in my skin, but it was nothing incredible. I think this was because I'd only used the mask on three separate occasions, and it's advised at least one to two times a week on a regular basis. The main thing for me was the consistency of my skin after just 10 minutes. For a £2.99 mask, I was pretty blown away with the results.
My verdict
After seeing the rave reviews from shoppers online, I wasn't sure what to expect with this £2.99 mask, but now I totally get the hype. It made my skin feel so soft and smooth in just 10 minutes, better than any moisturiser would.
If you're wanting a real refreshing pamper, especially with the cold weather outside, I'd highly recommend this mask. I'm going to continue using it on a regular basis to see if it really does brighten my face - and I've got high hopes.
You actually get a fair amount of product in the tub for the price too, which I was really impressed with. As a whole, the mask felt like a premium experience with a 'budget' price tag, and I'm so here for it. Shopper can purchase the £2.99 Aldi Lacura Pink Clay Mask here.
