With the rising energy bill costs, many of us are looking for cheaper alternatives for keeping warm during the colder months.
Martin Lewis fans have been recommending the viral product 'Oodie' which is priced at a hefty £47. On the Money Saving Expert website many shoppers are saying they 'haven't had to put their heating on' since purchasing the product, but I didn't fancy spending £47.
Instead, I popped to my local Primark in Liverpool and found an array of bright, colourful and fluffy Oodie dupes for £16 and I was beyond excited. So, what exactly is an 'Oodie'?

Well, it's described as a 'wearable blanket' and basically looks like an oversized hooded sweatshirt with an equally oversized kangaroo pocket (that's perfect for snacks, may I add).
Primark had a whole range of 'Snuddies' from pinks to greys to Disney inspired options. I opted for the green Snuddie with pink toadstools because in a nutshell, it looked mega cute.
I slipped it on and was absolutely amazed at the sheer thickness. It wasn't an uncomfortable thick material either, it was so soft and warm I could've basically fallen asleep instantly.
I really liked the giant pocket at the front and the hood, which I can imagine is absolutely perfect when you're settling down to watch a film on a chilly night. The Snuddie has so much space too, I chose the M/L sizing and I'm so glad I did because it was lovely and spacious.
Granted, you need to accept that you're going to look slightly ridiculous in your Snuddie, but who cares? It's all about keeping warm.
I can honestly say since purchasing this Snuddie I haven't felt cold once, or felt the need to put the heating on. I've had to keep my bottom half warm with thick PJ bottoms and fluffy socks, but my top half is as cosy as can be.
Although it's only October I'm sure all of us are already starting to feel the chill, especially on an evening. My house gets particularly chilly in the living room, so this Snuddie is perfect for a night in.
You don't need to worry about the Snuddie being itchy, either. It's soft, comforting, and basically feels like you're walking around in bed it's that comfy. When I visited Primark last week there was still plenty left, but I can imagine they are going to sell very quickly.
Let's just say I'm going back to Primark ASAP to get my boyfriend and my parents a Snuddie, because for £16, it's so much cheaper than having the heating on. I'm obsessed.
